Information on how to handle customer complaints – ways to resolve insurance disputes:

Procedure for filing a lawsuit against an insurance intermediary:
Consumer disputes between consumers and insurance intermediaries can be resolved both under the Civil Procedure Code and out of court.
In the event that a consumer dispute arises between us and the consumer under a contract for the provision of services which cannot be resolved by mutual agreement, the consumer may submit a proposal for out-of-court settlement of such a dispute to a designated consumer dispute resolution body.
The entity for out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes between a consumer and an insurance intermediary when offering, providing or arranging life insurance is the Office of the Financial Arbitrator, organizational unit of the state, Legerova 1581/69, 110 00 Prague 1, email: arbitr@finarbitr.cz, website: www.finarbitr.cz and the entity for the resolution of consumer disputes in the field of non-life insurance and supplementary pension saving is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Central Inspectorate – ADR Department, Štěpánská 15, 120 00 Prague 2, email: adr@coi.cz,

§ 88, paragraph 1 e)

§ 88, paragraph 1 f)
The insurance intermediary does not have a direct or indirect interest in the voting rights and capital of any insurance company.
§ 88, paragraph 1 g)
No insurance company or person controlling an insurance company has a direct or indirect interest in the voting rights and capital of an insurance intermediary.
§ 88, paragraph 1 h)
At the customer’s request, the independent broker or tied agent shall disclose the method of his remuneration relating to the insurance being arranged.
§ 88(1)(i)
The independent agent is remunerated by the insurance company with which the insurance is arranged, the tied agent is remunerated by the independent agent.
§ 88, paragraph 1 j)
The independent broker does not accept remuneration paid directly by the customer.
